Self Sabotage and Where Self Sabotaging Behaviours Come From

Recognizing Subconscious Sabotage

Self sabotaging behaviours are stored in our subconscious mind and interface with our brain that gives us the signals to behave in certain ways or attract other people to behave in ways that act as an exteria self sabotage. Our subconscious mind is very power indeed as our self sabotaging behaviours because they can crash and burn our goals and even our lives.

 When you learn how to recognize self sabotage and self sabotaging behaviours on the exteria, you still need to know how to deal with your subconscious mind. And to do that you need to learn a little more about how and why your subconscious works in this way.

 You see your subconscious mind has a ‘set point’ or ‘comfort plateau’ it likes to keep you safe in. It works in a similar fashion to a weightloss plateau. This set point or plateau get’s triggered every time you:

 1.    Start achieving successes you might not be used to; 

2.    When you get close to meeting your goals; or 

3.    As you begin to break free of some limiting pattern.

 The job of your subconscious mind is to keep you in a comfort zone so you are kept safe. When the above mentioned life events occur you enter what I call a danger zone because you are in danger of self sabotaging or distracting behaviours that will throw you off your course toward your dreams.

 It doesn’t matter what level of success you have gained or not, this comfort zone exists and the danger of self sabotaging behaviour patterns are alive and kicking in all of us. The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is that successful people take control.

Why Are The Laws of Nature Undefeatable?

Laws of Nature are the orderly method of omnipotent vibration. Everything in our world comes down to vibration and vibration is ordered through a method – we call it Law. Everything in our physical universe is governed by Laws referred to as The Laws of Physics or The Laws of Nature - Universal Laws. Simply stated there is something that holds stuff up and keeps that stuff working so planets don’t fall out of the cosmos, humans don’t drop off the earth, life is created and evolves and life goes on. Something is governing that, and we refer to them as Laws. 

Our physical universe is governed by Laws that are predictable, repeatable, understandable and are associated with a mathematical equation. Many of the Laws we know about today, like the Law of Gravity have a mathematical equation that explains how they work. Some Laws might even be yet to be discovered or put in terms of their mathematical equation. Now because Laws of Nature are predictable, repeatable and understandable you can align your mission statement and strategy to them to make your mission outcomes predictable, repeatable and understandable. We cannot alter that method or that Law because we aren’t the intelligence that created them. That makes The Laws of Nature Undefeatable. That makes you undefeatable when you align to them and work with them. That makes your mission strategy undefeatable when you align to, work with and apply these Laws.

The Power of Purpose

I met Bo Eason on the weekend, former professional American football player for the Houston Oilers, a change agent, and a man who not only lives with purpose, moves with purpose, he also is a walking breathing demonstration of the power of purpose. He was speaking at the recent Author Expert Marketing Machines event I went to in San Diego, and told the story of his movement coach, teaching him the power of moving with purpose.

 I wanted to share the story with you because it is a powerful reminder that when we move with purpose, we carry a certain vibration and power that can make us more invincible. Let me explain. Bo Eason described the story of a tribe of people who lived harmoniously with predatory animals, yet never were hunted and eaten by them. They lived, moved and walked peacefully among these preditors. How could that be? They learned how to walk with total focus and purpose. 

The only time anyone had even been eaten by these animals is when they got drunk. However, when they move with purpose, free of alcohol, they lived safely because they carried the vibration of purpose and not that of a victim. We so often talk about the power of purpose from the perspective of living a life of meaning and fulfilment, but this story demonstrates the power of purpose goes far beyond feeling satisfied with life. It may well be the very thing that saves us from preditors and being victimized!? Interesting concept to contemplate. 

When you watch Bo Eason move with purpose, it is very powerful. In fact whenever you see anyone who is standing in their power, performing their personal mission in life and living fully on purpose, they do give off a certain air of grace and power. They are more charismatic, awe-inspiring and they move very differently from someone who is uncertain about where they are going in life, believes they are victim, or has no clue as to why they are here.

 We’ve heard it countess times over centuries how the answers lie within us, to seek inside ourselves, to look with in, to follow the answer within. Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

 Quantum scientists have now discovered this Universal Creative Intelligence running through all atoms at a sub atomic level. Our existence comes down to atoms – we are made up of a bunch of atoms organized and individuated to make us unique. However, at the sub atomic level those atoms have a Unifying Field or Universal Creative Intelligence – unifying each and every one of those atoms, in us, in others and in all of energy and matter around us.

 We literally have a Genius Databank of intelligence within us. It’s within every cell of your body. We have access to the entire Universe inside of us. A genius lies within you that has nothing to do with your brain or your brain’s intelligence. You have the entire Universe inside of you and a Genius Databank to call upon whenever you need answers. You see the answers really do lie within. You just need to know how to access that.

Having the Confidence To Live Your Life Purpose

In all my years of meeting members of my audiences, working privately with clients and speaking socially

with people I have not found an exception to this idea – Within each of us is a seed that contains the answer to someone’s problem and sometimes even answers to the world’s biggest problems. It doesn’t matter what education you may have had or not had, what your skills and talents are, how much money you have or don’t have, if you had an advantaged or disadvantaged up-brining this seems to be true. Within you lies a mission that can change this world and make it a better place. That mission lies deep within those clues your Soul leaves you and deep within your purpose. In fact it’s the meaning behind your purpose. The purpose of your purpose so to speak. 

 Let me explain. 

 Through a self discovery process we went through together, we found out from the clues his Soul had been leaving him, that his reason for being here was to be a role model for young boys and young men, helping them through their right of passage into adulthood. It is no accident his first born is a baby boy. He get’s to be a role model first for his son. We also discovered that he was independent and that his Soul has been pointing him in the direction of going into business himself as a coach for young boys and men. He had not been able to join the dots of the clues that had been left for him because he was blocked with a lack of self confidence. He did not have the confidence he could go out on his own and survive, because he didn’t know how to do that. 

 We removed that block, came up with a plan for him to make his transition then worked on how he was going to put together his new business. It turns out there’s a bright idea deep within his Soul’s clues that could build him a multi-million dollar business should he choose to go down that path. This business will have a ripple effect not only the lives of the boys he will serve, but their families and society at large. Roger will significantly make the world a better place by carrying out his new purpose, he already is making it a better place by saving lives. But if he steps up to the higher purpose and the big mission that sits there in his purpose – world watch out. We’ve heard a lot about Girl Power over the past few decades… we’re about to learn about Boy Power. 

 What’s great about Roger’s life story is that it demonstrates so perfectly how feeling under confident about ourselves can block our purpose and mission from being fully realized. It’s also a story that demonstrates what I see all the time, that deep within our purpose and mission at the Soul level, is also a bright idea that can adequately, if not handsomely, monetize your mission so you can carry it out with greater influence. You don’t have to be stuck in a volunteer role or charity work, getting paid low to no salary in order to make a big difference. 

 You have been provided for by your Soul leaving you clues as to how you can handsomely get paid within the monetary system we live in today, live on purpose, fufillment your mission, create a better world and live a life of happiness and contentment. Nothing has been left out of your life plan. It’s a magnificent plan and you step into your magnificent self when you live that plan. Roger, by being about his purpose and mission, is changing the lives of young boys and men, changing the dynamics of the family, changing the dynamics of adodlesence society and therefore changing the world in his unique way.
